01What does the What-If calculator show?
It shows how much a one-time Bitcoin investment made on a past date would be worth today: the amount of BTC bought, its current value and the return. Example: $1,000 five years ago would be worth about $1,704 today.
02How accurate is the data?
For the chosen day we use the nearest price from our database (5-minute resolution since 2012, daily data from 2010). US-dollar prices are real history; euro values are converted from USD at each day's ECB reference rate.
03Which date can I pick?
Any day from 2012 to yesterday. Use the quick presets to jump to "1, 2, 5 or 10 years ago", or type any purchase date you like.
04Where does the price data come from?
From our own price database at 5-minute resolution going back to 2012. The current price updates live so the value and return are always up to date.
